The third heartbeat sequence phase: ventricular systole

• A: Deoxygenated blood is pumped out through pulmonary artery to lungs
• B: Oxygenated blood is pumped through aorta to the rest of the body
• C: Pulmonary valve opens
• D: Aortic valve opens
• E: Tricuspid valve closes
• F: Mitral valve closes
• G: Right ventricle contracts and pumps blod into pulmonary artery to lungs
• H: Left ventricle contracts and pumps blood into aorta and around the body
